US-Led Airstrikes Hit Islamic State Meeting, Kill 15 Militants
Baghdad: U.S.-led coalition airstrikes hit top meeting of Islamic State of in Mosul on Thursday night, killed at least 15 militants.
According to foreign news agency US-led coalition warplanes launched another round of airstrikes in Iraq, hit the high level meeting of Islamic State held in Iraqi province of Mosul on Thursday which reportedly killed at least 15 militants.
Military security sources confirmed killings of 15 Islamic State militants including some of key leaders who were there to attend a top level meeting, have been targeted by US led airstrikes on Thursday night while Iraqi government forces killed a senior leader Mohammed Salih al-Suwaidi in Fallujah.
US-led coalition launched another air operation against ISIS from New Year’s Eve and attack on meeting was among 29 airstrikes on Wednesday and Thursday.
US security forces staged 12 airstrikes in Iraq targeted ISIS buildings, check points and units nearby Mosul, Sinjar and Fallujah which other 17 were hit different areas hold by ISIS militants in Al Raqqah, Dayr az Zawr and Kobani cities of Syria.
