Deadly floods about Kills 12 in Georgia, Some Zoo Animals Run Away

The deadliest flood has killed more than 10 people and some animals as 8 Lions, several leopard, bear, hippopotamus and 20 wolves escaped from the custody of zoo administration.

The escape of the animals can be dangerous for people, though authorities has warned people that don’t dare to come out until these animals are not taken back to their cages.

Severe flood has been destructing in the capital Tbilisi, central Asian state Georgia, for days and until now so many house has been damaged by flood as it came out in the result of banks’ breaking of Vere rives caused by heavy rain.

Tbilisi’s zoo authorities has been struggling to find out all the escaped animals and to some extent, they remained successful to catch some of them but some are still missing, though searching is being done and will be discovered soon.

Because these animals can be dangerous for anyone so it has ordered to stay indoors until their arrest.

The heavy rainfall began about midnight and in the result, it fulfilled Vere River whose banks broke and water turned city Tbilisi. It said to be that several people are still missing since overnight on Sunday when it occurred, residents reported media.

The dangerous flood also wrapped Saburtalo districts and Vake—many houses have been damaged in capital Tbilisi.

On Sunday morning, zoo’s press service had explained that Hippopotamus, who was ran away from cage cause of flood, discovered by walking in one of Tbilisi’s main squares and officials caught them by using a tranquilizer gun.

Police also helped zoo administration to capture the animals whereas some of them have killed, though the accurate number of escaped animals is never confirmed yet.

The 600 mammals, fish and birds lost during heavy rainfall and fled here and there and are still missing.
